I am intelligent, accomplished and have always worked hard. But I've had no work all year, and have fallen deep in debt. This makes me angry and helpless.

Hang in there, things will get better.

Yes, I feel helpless as well as job after job goes to someone other than myself. I will remain positive and keep moving forward but I'm going on two months now and it's starting to get old.

It's been four months for me; my husband treats me like it's my fault that I can't get a job. We're paying our rent with credit cards. We'll be homeless soon. Everyone says, "things will get better." But, what if they don't? You're not alone, a lot of people are struggling and suffering. Keep doing your best.

I hear you. I'm a licensed attorney, and the only job I can find, after sending out over 1000 resumes, is a part time job hauling trash. It pays for my rent and one law school loan, nothing else.

it makes you human. i lost my job in january, lost my apartment by the end of february, had to put my stuff in storage and live out of a hotel with my 11 yr old son. ive been bouncing around and hanging on by a thread. my family has money but theyve always not been there for me. im alone. but ive learned how to count my blessings. i have alot of health issues as well and am grateful that i can get up everyday to go to my wonderful part time job where people treat me good.

It is a b**** out there, I had to take a job making a 1/4 of what I am used to and dont think I will ever be in a position to make that kind of money again, I went from working in a office for the last 10 years to working on heavy equipment on oil rig sites getting nast and dirty. You have to take whatever job you can find dont feel like that anything is beneath you.

I just wanted to say I'm in the same boat. I have been trying to find a decent job for 5 years. I had a series of crappy temp jobs I was overqualified for...and I haven't even had THAT in a year. I'll have a master's degree in a few months, and I'm worried that I won't be able to repay my debts. I may not even have anywhere to live soon.

And what is at the core of your anger and helplessness? The answer is Fear. Stop feeding your fears. Fear is what has you trapped. Make different choices. No fear!
